Waterway Top-Load filter lock ring without tab

This lock ring holds the cover in place on Waterway Top-Load and In-Line filters. The lock ring holds down the filter cover, against the water pressure inside the filter.

This part is installed on some spas manufactured by Coast Spas and Cal Spas. Another version of this lock ring, with a spring-loaded tab that holds the ring in place once it has been correctly tightened, is used by many other spa manufacturers and is much more common overall.
